After an intensive decade of International Classical Music Festivals, Competitions and Master Classes, in collaboration with star artists and most well-know professors of the classical world, in June/July 2024 CMDI organized its first Orchestral Campus in Chieti, Italy. The participating Youth Orchestra was the Cloud Concert Youth Orchestra from Melbourne – Australia.
Students benefitted from daily individual master classes, chamber music tuition, sectional and orchestra rehearsals, reaching the climax of the week-long experience with solo, chamber and orchestral performances at the magnificent Teatro Marruccino.
He was born in Bari, in a family of musicians. From his mother he learnt the “Art of Bel Canto” which will always distinguish him, not only for his impeccable technique, but also for his wonderful sound of the old generation. The so called “Messa di voce e portamento”, qualities upon which he dwelt, perfecting them with his teachers Felix Ayo and Riccardo Brengola (Rome, S.Cecilia Academy), and that later on, during his studies in the former Soviet Union (with Igor Oistrak and Victor Pikaizen), gained him acknowledgments of great esteem, to the extent that he returned to Italy with many eminent statements of praise and an important Certificate of Merit.
Andriani has completed his specialization courses at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena, with Uto Ughi. His career unfolds in Europe, United States, Canada, Mexico, China and Korea, both as a soloist and in chamber music ensembles, together with famous international musicians such as Gianandrea Gavazzeni or Lior Shambadal. With the latter he performed in Germany, at the Berliner Philharmonie, for a debut with the Berliner Symphoniker. Andriani has recorded for RAI (Italian Radio and Television) and important record labels, such as Phoenix, Tactus, Stradivarius, Brilliant Classics.
For the Brilliant Classics label he has recently published a double CD with the opera for violin and piano by the Irish/Italian composer Michele Esposito (Castellamare di Stabia 29/09/1855 – 19/11/1929), following a CD with the music of Tom Cullivan, another contemporary Irish composer, comprising Sonatas for violin and piano dedicated to him. For the Rusty Records label he published a CD entitled “Carmelo Andriani plays Bach-Ysaye” for solo violin. Carmelo Andriani is Professor of Violin at the Conservatory “Niccolò PICCINNI” in Bari. He plays a wonderful Marino Capicchioni (made in 1942) or, alternatively, a prestigious Andrea Guarnieri (1675) or a brilliant Sofia (2009), expressly made for him by the Master violin maker Angelo Andrulli.
Over the past twenty years, Alan Chircop directed several international orchestras and appeared in various theatres, concert halls and festivals in many different countries. Among others, he has conducted the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall and Westminster Central Hall in London, the London Concert Orchestra, the Sofia Philharmonic – National Orchestra of Bulgaria, the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Macedonia, the National Chamber Orchestra of Armenia, L’Orchestra Citta’ di Ravenna and L’Orchestra Sinfonica Duchi d’Acquaviva (Italy), the Royal Oman Symphony Orchestra, the Leopoli State Symphony Orchestra (Ukraine), L'Orchestre Lyrique de Region Avignon-Provence (France), the Karlovy Vary Symphony Orchestra (Czech Republic), the Mihail Jora Philharmonic of Bacau (Romania), the Karelia State Philharmonic Orchestra, the Kislovodsk - Mineralnye Vody State Symphony Orchestra and the Sochi Symphony Orchestra (Russia); the Pleven Philharmonic Orchestra (Bulgaria); the Westsächsische Philharmonie and the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy Symphony Orchestra Leipzig (Germany), the Camerata con Cor(d)e of Belgium and the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra.
Alan Chircop’s repertoire is very wide ranging and apart from an extensive symphonic and concerto repertoire, he has directed several opera productions and contemporary music premieres.
In 1993 he obtained the Diplome de Fin d’Etudes in pianoforte with distinction at the Conservatoire Regional de Musique in Lyon (France). He pursued his studies at the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy Music Academy in Leipzig (Germany) obtaining two Masters Degrees: in Pianoforte under the tutorship of Prof. Christoph Taubert (1994-2001) and Orchestral Direction with Prof. Gert Bahner (1997-2003). He also followed a one-year specialization course in Orchestral Direction with Prof. Uros Lajovic at the Hochschule für Musik in Vienna (Austria).
Alan Chircop was also the Founder and Principal of the Euro Academy of Music and Arts in Malta (1997-2007); Artistic Director of the Virtuoso Classics Concert Series (2003-2005); and Artistic Director of the Renaissance Cultural Foundation (2006-2008). In 2009 he was appointed Advisor to the Government of Malta for Music Education and was Principal of the Visual & Performing Arts Schools within the Ministry of Education.
Eleonora De Poi started her musical studies with the Violin to then expand her knowledge with the Viola and became a Master with both instruments.
She graduated in 2016 from the Conservatory “A.Steffani” of Castelfranco Veneto under the guidance of Michele Lot and Stefano Pagliari with 10, honors and special mention. She also graduated brilliantly from the Bachelor in Violin Performance at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam with Ilya Grubert and Maria Milstein as teachers.
In 2020 she got another Master in Viola with full marks at the “B. Maderna” Conservatory of Cesena. She studied with Richard Wolfe, Petr Pavlov, Anna Serova, Jorg Winkler, Simonide Braconi and Simone Briatore.
During her career she won several National and International Competitions as soloist and in Chamber Music Ensembles, including prizes as Viola solo. She studied Chamber Music with Domenico Nordio, Filippo Faes, the Parma Trio and Frank van de Laar. This year she’s going to finish two Masters of second level in Chamber Music, the first one at the Academy of St. Cecilia in Rome and the other one at the Conservatory of Parma.
She participated in several Masterclass with various important teachers including Giovanni and Federico Guglielmo, Fabian Rieser, Pierre Amoyal, Pavel Vernikov, Eliot Lawson, Yair Kless, Svetlana Makarova, Igor Volochine, Markus Placci and Francesco De Angelis. Eleonora performed as a Principal and Tutti both as Violin and Viola in various Orchestras, such as: Central European Orchestra “Lorenzo Da Ponte”, Venice Chamber Orchestra, Baroquip, Sweelinck Orchestra, Amsterdam Conservatory Orchestra, “Arrigoni” Academy of Arches, Vienna Walzer Orchestra of Shanghai, Vicenza Olympic Theater Orchestra (OTO), Youth Trentino Orchestra, Milan LaFil, La Fenice Orchestra. With these orchestras played in important concert halls: Wiener Konzerthaus, Royal Concertgebouw, TivoliVredenburg of Utrecht, Muziekgebouw of Eindhoven, Bernard Haitinkzaal of Amsterdam, Shanghai Oriental Art Center, Teatro dal Verme, Palazzo Vecchio “Salone dei Cinquecento” in Florence. In 2021 Eleonora achieved great results: she was admitted at the National Academy of Santa Cecilia at the High Specialization Course in Chamber Music as TulipDuo with pianist Massimiliano Turchi, with whom she studies now under the guidance of M° Carlo Fabiano and Ivan Rabaglia; won two auditions as a viola tutti for ORT orchestra (Regional Orchestra of Tuscany) and Orchestra della Versilia; she also won the place of Principal Viola at the Este Symphony Orchestra of Ferrara and at the Perugia Chamber Orchestra where she won as well a scholarship as the best 2021 graduate in Viola in whole Italy, and finally she was awarded a Viola Sderci by Adriana Verchiani Farulli collection which belonged to M° Piero Farulli.
In 2022 Eleonora has won the audition as Principal Viola at Orchestra of Friuli Venezia Giulia and the audition as Viola Tutti at Teatro Comunale of Bologna. Recently she has performed as soloist Sinfonia Concertante of Mozart at the viola for Pietrasanta’s Festival with Michael Guttman with Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino. During the year she was also the only Italian finalist at the “Anton Rubinstein” International Competition for Viola Soloist.
She was Principal Viola at Teatro La Fenice of Venice until February 2023 and this year she collaborated as Principal Viola with Orchestra of Teatro Maggio Musicale Fiorentino. In January 2023 she won the position of Principal Viola at Orchestra I Pomeriggi of Milan, and in June she has won the position as Principal Viola at Opera Carlo Felice in Genova where she is now working.
She also has an intense teaching activity: Eleonora has taught in China (Shanghai and Hangzhou) in an International Academy and currently she is training young musicians for solo and orchestral competitions.
Born in Ascoli Piceno, she graduated in 1987 with top marks from the Conservatory of Santa Cecilia in Rome under the guidance of Maestro Angelo Persichilli. She attended the three-year course held by Maestro Persichilli at the Accademia Italiana del Flauto in Rome, obtaining the final First Prize. She has attended interpretation seminars with T. Wye, W. Bennet, P. Gallois, A. Marion.
She has distinguished herself in numerous national and international competitions: 2nd Prize (1st not awarded) at the 'Briccialdi' Competition in Terni, 1st Prize at the National Chamber Music Competition (duo with piano) in Acqui Terme, 2nd Prize at the Concorso Mitteleuropean Flute Competition in Cividale del Friuli. In 1993 he won 2nd Prize (1st not awarded) at the National Flute Competition in Palmi.
She carries out an intense concert activity as soloist with orchestra, in duo with piano and in other chamber ensembles, performing in important concert seasons and prestigious concert halls such as Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome, Auditorio Nacional in Madrid, Lingotto in Turin, Oratorio del Gonfalone in Rome, Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia.
From 1992 to 2013 she was First Flute of the Orchestra Sinfonica Abruzzese, with which she performed several times as soloist.
She has collaborated with the Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome, the Orchestra Sinfonica di Sanremo, the Orchestra Sinfonica Siciliana and the Orchestra Filarmonica Marchigiana.
He participated with I Solisti Aquilani in the first performance in Italy of Astor Piazzola's opera-tango 'Maria de Buenos Aires' (Pescara, 1995).
She collaborates regularly as a soloist with Gli Archi del Cherubino, performing important compositions from the baroque repertoire both on flute and piccolo.
She was invited, with the best flutists on the international scene, to the Rassegna Internazionale 'Flautissimo' Review of the Italian Flute Academy in Rome.
She has to her credit recordings for Ricordi, RCA and Dynamic.
Winner of the Flute Professorship Competition, she currently teaches at the “Luisa D'Annunzio' Conservatory in Pescara.
CordeliaHöfer was born in Munich/Bavaria.
She completed her studies in piano at the universities in Salzburg (Hans Leygraf) and Munich (Klaus Schilde, Hugo Steurer) with highest honors. In Salzburg she also studied conducting (Gerhard Wimberger) and chamber music.
1979 she won first prize of the „Kurt Leimer Competition“of Mozarteum in Salzburg. She acquired further valuable inspiration from Wilhelm Kempff , Sandor Vegh, Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Tatjana Nikolajewa and Elisabeth Leonskaja.
At the age of 15 she gave her debut in Munich with orchestra performing Carl Maria Weber's Konzertstück op.79. Her extensive concert experience involving solo appearances with renowned orchestras took her to many countries in Europe, to the USA, Korea, China and Japan.
2006 she performed on a trio-tour in Japan with her children Saskia Roczek (www.lichtentaltrio.com) and Leonhard Roczek (www.minettiquartett.at). She has appeared in numerous festivals: “Mostly Mozart” New York, “Kontrapunkte” at the Salzburger Osterfestspiele (Austria), Luzern Festival (Switzerland) the Kuhmo Festival in Finland, the Mozart-Woche in Salzburg, Mozart Festival Cluj, Theatre Festival Sibiu (Romania), the Summer Festival in Portogruaro (Italy), BUNT-Festival Belgrade (Serbia), Osterfestspiele Baden-Baden (Germany), Shanghai Piano Festival (China), among many others.
For over more than 30 years she played concerts regularly with members of the Vienna and Berlin Philharmonic Orchester.
She performed further numerous concerts with artists including Ruggiero Ricci, Aurora Natola-Ginastera, Rainer Honeck, Noah Bendix, Götz Teutsch, Ivry Gitlis, Heinrich Schiff, Thomas Riebl, Anna Prohaska etc. She began teaching at the Mozarteum in 1982 with a lectureship. She has been a professor for piano and chamber music at the University Mozarteum since 2002.
Her Students won in the last years more than 50 prizes in international competitions.

Besides her solo career Alissa Margulis is an enthusiastic chamber music player and collaborates with artists such as Martha Argerich, Yuri Bashmet, David Geringas, Ivry Gitlis, Gidon Kremer, Bruno Giuranna, Mischa Maisky, Gabriela Montero, Jean-Guihen Queyras, Liana Issakadze, Alexandre Tharaud, Stephen Kovacevich, Alexander Lonquich, Polina Leschenko, Paul Badura-Skoda and Lars Vogt.
She further appeared at various Festivals: at the Enescu Festival Bucharest, Jerusalem Chamber Music Festival, the Menuhin Festival Gstaad, in Davos, Tours, Stravanger Festival, at the Mozartwoche Salzburg, “Spannungen”-Festival in Heimbach, “Progetto” Martha Argerich Festival in Lugano, Schleswig-Holstein Festival, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Sotshi Winter Arts Festival and Verbier Festival.
Her discography includes more than a dozen CDs at labels such as EMI Classics, Oehms, Novalis, Avanti Classic and CAvi. Notably two of the six EMI Classics releases of the „Martha Argerich and Friends“ series received a GRAMMY nomination, several others won the Diapason d’or. She recorded repertoire by Mozart, Shostakovich, Enescu, Beethoven, Messiaen and others as well as the complete music for violin and piano by Franz Liszt. She recorded Piazzolla’s seasons and took part in an all Klezmer recording alongside musicians such as Myriam Fuks, Roby Lakatos, Evgeny Kissin, Polina Leschenko and Mischa Maisky. Alissa Margulis will be featured in another live recording of chamber music performed at the Progetto Martha Argerich, a 2016 release by Warner Classics.
Last season she played concerts in Germany, Austria, Belgium, Greece, Russia, Luxembourg, Lebanon, South Africa, Aruba, Malta, the Netherlands, Switzerland, the USA, Italy, France at venues such as the Philharmonie de Paris, the Tchaikovsky Hall Moscow and the Verbier Festival, among many others.
Born in Chieti, he studied under the guidance of Lucia Passaglia at the Conservatory ‘L. Cherubini’in Florence graduating with highest honours. He participated as a student performer on a three-year piano perfection course at the “Accademia Musicale Umbra” where he achieved a ‘Diploma of Excellence”.
Later, he participated in the ‘International Master Classes’in Klaipeda (Lithuania), held by Lazar Berman. With him, his concert repertoire deepened and improved with particular attention to the music of F. Liszt, at the European Academy of Music, Erba (CO). He perfected Chamber Music at the International School of Chamber Music in Duino under the guidance of ‘Trio of Trieste’achieving a ‘Diploma with Merit’. He has won national and international competitions, including ‘M. Clementi’in Florence, “Agorà 80’in Rome, ‘F. Liszt’in Lucca, and ‘Città di Stresa’. In 1997 he won second prize at the 'T. I. M. ‘ - International Music Tournament; in 1998, he was awarded the prestigious ‘Prix Venice’; in 1999 he won second prize at the international competition ‘Ecomusic’of Monopoli (BA); in 2002 was the winner of the 40th International Piano Competition ‘Arcangelo Speranza’in Taranto. In 2009 he was awarded in the “4th International Tbilisi Piano Competition’in Georgia (WFIMC).
His musical experience has been enriched by important collaborations as a pianist in the Classical Dance, and in Opera Theatre, collaborating with teachers of Teatro alla Scala in Milan, the Royal Academy of Dance of London, Teatro dell’Opera of Paris. In addition, for several years he worked in the Teatro dell'Opera of Chieti deepening the Opera literature and working as a pianist with important international singers and theatrical directors.

He has appeared as a soloist with different such Camerata Baltica, Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra, Kiev Philharmonic Orchestra, Sinfonica Abruzzese, Sinfonica di Lecce, Sinfonica di Bari, Solisti Aquilani.
He is often invited to be part of the jury in national and international piano competitions in Germany, Spain, Italy, Latvia, Mexico, Malta, ecc.
He plays with musicians of calibre like Karl Leister (historical 1st clarinettist of the Berlin Philharmonic), Pavel Berman, Francesco Manara and Franco De Angelis (first violinists of the Teatro alla Scala in Milan), Grazia Raimondi, Antonio Tinelli, Rita D'Arcangelo, Gaetano Di Bacco and Liliana Bernardi. He is the pianist of “Trio DOROGI” with the famous musicians Dora Schwarzberg (violin) and Romain Garioud (cello).
His conspicuous record productions range from solo repertoires, chamber music and to a soloist with an orchestra, including recordings for Wide Classique, DAD Records, Camerata Tokyo, Radio Vatican, Radio Bavaria etc. The monographic CD dedicated to J. Brahms, containing the sonates for clarinet and piano op. 120 No. 1 and no. 2 and the Trio op. 114, Published by Phoenix Classics and distributed by Ducale Music, became a finalist at the IMAIE awards 2009 and was reviewed with acclaim by specialised Italian and overseas magazines (Musica, Suonare News, Giornale della Musica, Fanfare and The Clarinet).
From 2012 he has been an honorary member of the Rotary Club of Subiaco (Rome) and in 2014 he was awarded from the Rotary Club of Pescara West with the ‘Paul Harris Fellow’for commitment in spreading music and its culture.
From 2015 he is the founder and Artistic Director of the Music and Art International Music Academy in Chieti which aims at promoting young artists and the development of the arts.
From 2017 he is the artistic director of the Concert Season of Teatro Marrucino in Chieti.
From 2019 he is the Artistic Director of ‘In Musica’International Music Festival and Piano Competition in Rome - Italy.
Ermanno graduated at the age of 18 with top marks and honors from the “G. Rossini” Music Conservatory of Pesaro, studying in the sametime at the Fiesole Music School and being part of the Italian Youth Orchestra where he obtained the ‘Professional Qualification for Orchestra Trumpeter’ with top marks.
At the same age of 18 he won the Second Trumpet competition at the Orchestra of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome, a role he currently holds on a permanent basis, playing with world-famous conductors, recording for Deutsche Grammophon, EMI, Musicom, BMG, participating in tours all over the world and sometimes also covering the role of First Trumpet. Subsequently he won other competitions: First Trumpet at the Orchestra Regionale Toscana in Florence, First Trumpet at the Orchestra dei Pomeriggi Musicali in Milan and audition for First Trumpet at the “Arturo Toscanini” Orchestra of Emilia Romagna. He also collaborated as First Trumpet with the Orchestra of the Teatro Comunale di Firenze Maggio Musicale Fiorentino.
He studied with the Maestro: Orio Lucchi (Liceo Musicale Rimini), Terzo Cattani (Pesaro Conservatory), Mark Bennett (London Brass), Vincent Penzarella (New York Philharmonic) and baroque trumpet with Michael Laird (Royal College London). In the chamber music he is a founding member of the Roma Brass Quintet, and plays currently in the Brass Quintet of the Accademia di Santa Cecilia. He played like soloist ‘Notturna’for solo trumpet and magnetic tape by Michele Tadini at the Festival Inventionen in Berlin. He recorded the Sonatina for Tromba Sola op. 413 by Franco Mannino, he recorded Concerto n. 4 for Organ 2 Trumpets 2 Trombones and Orchestra by E. Morricone published in the album “Io Ennio Morricone”. He plays the baroque trumpet as part of the “Les Trompettes des Plaisirs” ensemble, and of the “Accademia Barocca di Santa Cecilia” ensemble with which he played as a soloist at the Viterbo Baroque Festival. As a teacher he currently teaches at the Teramo Conservatory and at the annual high level musical training courses of the Praeneste Academy in Rome.
He graduated in clarinet at “L. D’Annunzio” Conservatory in Pescara and in Music and Performing Arts Subjects (DAMS) at University of Bologna.
He is principal clarinet of the Orchestra Sinfonica Abruzzese with whom he has performed as concerto soloist as well. He has been invited at the Orchestra del Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Orchestra Sinfonica della RAI in Rome, Orchestra da Camera Italiana under the baton of Salvatore Accardo, City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong, Orchestra di Roma e del Lazio.
Of particular note are his collaboration with I Solisti dell’Accademia Filarmonica di Roma under the baton of Giuseppe Sinopoli, I Solisti Aquilani and Officina Musicale.
He performed as soloist with orchestra, piano duo and several chamber music ensambles in important concert seasons and in prestigious concert halls such as: Queen Elizabeth Hall and Royal Academy of Music in London, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Ravenna Festival, Oratorio del Gonfalone, I.U.C. in Rome, G.O.G. in Genoa, Munich Biennale, Santa Cecilia’s Hall in Edimburgh, Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival in Lübeck, McMillan Theatre and Columbus Centre in Toronto, National Recital Hall and County Hall in Taipei, International Chamber Music Festival in Canberra, Melba Hall in Melbourne, Tasmanian University – Conservatorium of Music in Hobart, ecc.
He has recorded for Bongiovanni label (Il salotto strumentale italiano tra ‘800 e ‘900); for the Dynamic he recorded a CD entirely dedicated to P. Hindemith’s chamber music; in duo with guitarist Marco Salcito, he recorded Scaramouche, a CD released by Wide Classique label; some of these tracks has been than released by Canadian producer Les Productions D’Oz. For Amadeus journal he recorded an unreleased Mercadante Concerto for two clarinets, horn and orchestra with Fabrizio Meloni, principal clarinet of Teatro alla Scala, then published in the CD attached to this prestigious journal.
He has involved in radio and tv recordings for RAI, Australian ABC and Hong Kong RTHK.
A significant part of his working activity concerns recording soundtracks for which he collaborated with composer such as Ennio Morricone, Luis Bacalov, Ritz Ortolani, Nicola Piovani, Armando Trovajoli, Luigi Einaudi, Carlo Crivelli, ecc.
He has been professor at “Nicola Sala” Conservatory in Benevento.
He did both clarinet and chamber music masterclasses in Hobart Conservatorium, Tasmanian University, Wollongong Conservatorium, Victorian College of the Arts di Melbourne, Xavier College di Melbourne, Aletheia University in Taipei.
He explores different paths driven by his curiosity and interest in all genres of music: as a composer, he created Livello 21 project, wich consist in 10 pieces arranged and performed by himself and of wich he is author as well. The album will be soon released by Aventino Music label.
Grammy nominated conductor, cellist and conductor Dmitry Yablonsky was born in Moscow into a musical family. He began playing the cello when he was 5 years old and was accepted to the Central Music School for gifted children. At the age of 9 he gave his orchestral debut playing Haydn’s cello concerto.
Since then, his career had taken him to the most important stages in the world, such as the Carnegie Hall, La Scala, Moscow Great Hall, St. Petersburg Philharmonic Hall, Taiwan National Hall, Teatre Mogador, Cite de la Musique, Louvre, among others.
He regularly plays with important artists as Boris Berezovsky, Vadim Repin, Shlomo Mintz, Itamar Golan, Yuri Bashmet, and has collaborated with artists as Monserrat Caballé, Roberto Alagna, Olga Borodina, ... He played Mº Penderecki’s Cello concerto with the composer at the podium.
He has also an important career as Conductor that begun in Camerino (Italy), where he had his first opportunity to conduct an orchestra. He was 26 years old and since then, has collaborated with many important orchestras as the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra (principal guest conductor 2000-2004), Novoya Rossiya (Principal Guest Conductor 2012- ), Israel Symphony Orchestra, Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, Belgian National Orchestra, Antwerpen Orchestra, North Netherlands Orchestra, Maastricht Orchestra, Russian State Orchestra, Orchestre National d'Ile de France, Taiwan National Orchestra, Catania Opera Orchestra, Holland Symphonia, Bologna Chamber Orchestra, Ofunam (México), etc.
His mother is the famed pianist Oxana Yablonskaya, with whom he immigrated in 1977 to New York where he studied with Lorne Munroe (solo cellist of New York Philharmonic Orchestra), David Soyer, cellist of Guarneri quartet, and with Aldo Parisot.
In the summer of 1979, at the age 16, Dmitry was accepted to participate in Marlboro Music Festival in Vermont and was the youngest participant. There, he had the opportunity to meet many great musicians as M. Horszowski, M. Tree, M. Shneider, M. Foley... and after playing for David Soyer, cellist of Guarneri quartet, he offered him to come to Curtis Institute of Music to study with him.
In 2010 Dmitry Yablonsky received the Diploma of the Honorary Academician at the Independet Academy of Liberal Arts at the Russian Academy of Sciences. He has transcribed and edited works for cello, which was released by International Music Company and Dover Publications. Naxos records released his recording of all 40 Popper etudes for solo cello in the fall of 2008, which received great critical acclaim.
But maybe, his most important recording is the Piano trio recording for Erato/ Warner with Vadim Repin and Boris Berezovsky that has won numerous awards.
Dmitry Yablonsky has an enthusiastic and charismatic character that takes him to initiate many projects. He has organized many festivals all over the world and is the artistic director of Gabala Festival in Azerbaijan.
Dmitry Yablonsky is Music Director of Kiev Virtuosi and Conductor Laureate of Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra. Since fall 2016, he teaches at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music at Tel Aviv University and has been recently named Head of International Relations of the same University.
Dmitry plays two cellos: a Joseph Filius Andrea Guarneri and a Matteo Gofriller.
